Our company is continually growing because, like you, we are enthusiasts! We are a group of serious car junkies looking for ways to make the dream of owning a classic or muscle car possible for anyone interested. Our aim is to make buying or selling your dream car as simple as possible. Within the last 10 years Vanguard Motor Sales has become the Motor City’s ultimate classic car, muscle car and street rod dealership. In the short time since July 2011, our brand new state-of-the-art showroom has become a destination for serious car guys from all over the world, hence the name “Vanguard” Motor Sales. Our indoor 30,000 square foot indoor facility houses over 100 cars. We are open to the public, so please come by and see what’s going on! We are located 20 minutes away from Detroit Metro Airport, and would be happy to pick you up and drop you off if you fly in. New cars arrive daily, and our inventory is always changing.

We Carry Quality Inventory

I only purchase cars of the utmost quality. Period. I carry a variety of makes and models in my inventory. Typically, I purchase my cars from local, individual owners. Once a month I travel to attend auctions throughout the United States. This allows me to purchase the best of the best available in the market place. Every car I purchase is thoroughly inspected and photographed. All of our vehicles are available for inspection prior to purchase or bidding. We also have a hoist available for views of the undercarriage. If you are looking for something specific and do not see it in my inventory, please let me know. I have built relationships with many of the best car collectors in the United States. If you have a dream car in mind, I can find it!

Purchasing, Bidding, and Shipping

So, you’re browsing through Vanguard’s inventory on eBay. Or, you’re looking through one of those free magazines you get at the gas station and you see our ad. You notice that we just got in YOUR dream car. It’s the first car you had in high school. The car you kissed your first girlfriend in. The car you took to the local track and raced your buddies. You’re heart starts racing. Now what?

Call us immediately! Don’t wait for the auction to end on eBay. You may lose out if you wait! Remember, our showroom is open to the public. When a walk-in customer puts a deposit on a car we reserve the right to close the eBay listing before the auction ends. If you think this car is “The One”, we can end the auction by adding a “Buy It Now” to the auction for the reserve price. If an auction ends and the bids do not meet the reserve price, we will continue to relist it until it sells. Do not hesitate to contact Tom 7 days a week!

We encourage you to hire an independent inspector to check out the car, prior to purchase or bidding. We have a hoist available for views of the undercarriage, and our mechanics are available to speak with if you have any questions.

We are experts in over seas shipping and handle all of the details. The shipping companies we work with are insured. Your vehicle will be safe and secure during transport. We ship all of our vehicles enclosed, so they leave our shop clean and they are delivered to your driveway clean.

Sell or Trade Your Classic or Muscle Car

Have a car you’re interested in selling or trading? Vanguard Motor Sales professional buying team would love the opportunity to check it out. We can schedule a time to come out and take a look at the car, you can bring it up to the shop, or we can start by taking a look at photos over mail or email.

We do not consign cars; we purchase all of our vehicles outright. Once we agree on a price we can send a wire transfer directly into your bank account or provide you with a certified check, which you can have your bank verify before signing over the title.

If you are out of state, or even a few hours away, we will happily arrange to have the car shipped from its location to our warehouse.
